JAZ DHAMI’S MOST MEMORABLE PERFORMANCE
Surrey B.C. Canada came to a standstill on Saturday as 200,000 people took to the streets to celebrate Vaisakhi in the biggest procession of its kind in the West.
The procession is a display of passion, seva and pride for the Sikh community. Jaz Dhami became the first British artist to perform on the main stage with a full live band in the events history.
Jaz Dhami grasped the crowds attention performing a number of religious and inspirational songs, including his first religious track ‘SARDARI’ OUT NOW on the ‘JAKARA‘ album produced by Revolution Records – especially to mark this years Vaisakhi celebrations.
Jaz Dhami was overwhelmed by the experience “Surrey Nagar Kirtan will be one of the most memorable performances of my career, it was like a dream come true. No words can explain the feeling I got when I first walked on stage. I felt myself being in another place and going into something that I’ve never experienced before. It was like a constant buzz, a spiritual energy telling me that this is what real music is and who I am. It was a beautiful day, colour everywhere, people listening attentively and I just performed songs straight from my heart.”
